Filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, production on Season 2 of the hit CBS drama Under the Dome is currently underway, and six new photos teasing the new season have just premiered online, via USA Today.
Among the more interesting images from the first episode of the new season are the above shot of a number of Chester’s Mill residents inexplicably collapsing just as Big Jim is about to execute Barbie, as well as a shot of Stephen King’s own cameo appearance in the first episode of Season 2, which the author of the source novel also wrote the script for.

Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, the series is based on the best selling novel by Stephen King.
Under the Dome returns to CBS for Season 2 starting on Monday, June 30 at 10pm, with an episode written by Stephen King.
